This lovely home located in Spillville was a nice change of pace for my husband's and my getaway. Breakfast was fantastic, with hot oven eggs, sausage, French toast, waffles, bacon, and kolaches. (Not all of them every day, but you will get kolaches everyday.) Shirley and John were very friendly and welcomed us, and Shirley very specifically commented that she enjoys helping people with allergies feel at home. (While we don't have allergies, I thought it bore putting in the review. If you have food allergies, Shirley will do her best to accommodate.)

A lovely 1903 historic farm house with Victorian standards and two charming cottages out back. The purveyors are warm and friendly, making our stay very comfortable. A quiet atmosphere, the birds are all you hear in the morning, besides the breakfast dishes going on the table. Good hearty breakfast. Be sure to visit the neighboring town of Decorah and eat at Rubaiyat. Superb food.

I was unable to make my reservations due to some unforseen medical issues and they graciously provided me with a full refund after I explained the situation. They went above and beyond when they didn't have to. I hope to be able to make reservations again in the near future. Thanks for everything Taylor Made!

Our biggest disappointment was how noisy the room was. It is an OLD house, and that bears remembering. It had a large vent in the floor that, when opened, could see right into the dining room below, and any noise in the hallway, dining room, or even outside could be heard. Which, of course, meant our conversations were probably not private either. It was quiet enough during nighttime hours for sleeping, however. Other rooms and the on-property separate cabins would have likely been better.

Beautiful drive out to Spillville. The B&B is right across the street from the Billy Clock Museum. The breakfast in the morning is spectacular. Highly recommend Taylor Made.

Still, it was a great stay, and I would recommend to someone who wants a great place to sleep and a terrific breakfast.

Antiques everywhere, lovely decor, and plenty of blankets on the bed. I'm so often cold, and I was not!

Very lovely weekend. Would highly encourage anyone traveling through to stay here. Their service could not have been more warm and inviting and their location was peaceful. Hands down the best bed in Spillville.
